My name is Dr. Donald Greenleaf and I am a retired dentist from the state of Washington, now residing nine months of the year in Bucerias, Mexico. I received my dental degree from the University of Oregon Dental School (now Oregon Health Sciences Center) in 1966 and practiced as a general dentist in Lakewood, Washington for twenty-nine years.My wife and I have been living in the Bucerias area for the past nine years and during that time I have had occasion to visit the office of Dr. Adrian M. Malja for treatment on three occasions, each involving multiple appointments. The first was to remove decay from a tooth that had broken because of the underlying decay. As I was one week from returning home I requested that a temporary filling be placed. This temporary lasted without problem until I was able to see my dentist at home and he remarked at how thoroughly the decay had been removed.
It’s been 2 years since I had 15 crowns……a bridge …one root canal……Girlfriend 7 crowns ..root canal…cleaning….. and absolutely no problems for a fraction it would have cost us in Canada.

It came as a surprise to me to hear from my dentist in the US that I required extensive and very costly dental work despite my careful routine of oral hygiene. I credit poor genetics and an active sports life to the problems I’ve had with fillings, crowns and knocking out teeth several times. Some friends that I surf with in Sayulita enthusiastically recommended I see Dr. Adrian Malja in nearby Bucerias.After a consultation with Dr. Malja and some preliminary work we agreed that I would return in the summer for two weeks to complete the work on two implants, six tooth lengthenings, a root canal and twenty six new crowns. This required a number of long days on my part and that of Dr Malja and his staff. I have the upmost confidence in Dr. Malja and every imaginable effort was taken to insure my comfort and wellbeing while “in the chair”. In addition, I was a guest at the Doctor’s Marina condominium in Puerto Vallarta and driven to and from his office each day. Paramount to all of the kind attention was the expert skill and attention given all of the dental work I needed.
